Meet James

Until 3 years ago James spent his whole working life in Telecommunications, starting his career at Alternative Networks PLC before co-founding his first company, Direct Response Ltd, in 2001 which he grew to become one of the largest outsourced Contact Centres in the UK. He has always had a passion for sales, service and customer management and in September 2010, he founded Shape Networks, a boutique telecoms Value Added Reseller with multi million pound revenues and unrivalled personal customer service excellence.

James has some of the most enviable retention rates with his customers in the market

James sold Shape Networks in 2020 having grown the company significantly over a decade. He also co-founded IP Wholesale which is a UK IP Network Carrier in its own right with multiple data centre presence, and National interconnects and TruSIP; a channel wholesale SIP trunking carrier service for the UK Telecoms industry.

James became a partner in OpensDoors in 2022 having previously been a Customer and was so impressed with the services that it provided him through his various businesses that after finally leaving the Telecoms Industry he joined the Board to help with the growth plans.

Milmont Consulting then became the Group holding Company for OpensDoors and other associated brands.

He is a highly experienced solution provider, business consultant and entrepreneur (although he hates that term).

Meet Sarah-Jane

Sarah-Jane is the founder of OpensDoors and partner in Milmont Consulting and has rapidly grown her company from a small start-up to a boutique consultancy of industry professionals trained to provide businesses with the right tools to grow.


Enjoying a diverse career spanning 20 years, Sarah-Jane started out as a business development and marketing professional working for a variety of corporate London-based companies. OpensDoors evolved from Sarah-Jane’s passion for helping other business professionals achieve success.
